## Topological fields

Our work focuses on two main projects:

1. Topological Structures in electromagnetic and gravitational radiations: Using theoretical and computational techniques we construct and describe the phenomenology of electromagnetic and gravitoelectromagnetic fields with topologically nontrivial field line structures. We have also constructed and studied optical vortices and their gravitational analogs.

2. Topological Structures in magnetohydrodynamics: In partnership with our plasma laboratory facilities at the University of Leiden we construct and study the phenomenology of topological solitons in ideal and resistive MHD. We also work in simulating the effect of topological field configurations on the stability of resistive plasmas.
